March 3, 2018 - Delicious! Blackberry, blueberry, lavender, black pepper, cinnamon, black licorice, vanilla, cream and a touch of root beer. Perfectly balanced, with just enough acidity and tannin. Did not notice the high alcohol at all.

November 18, 2016 - Tight and guarded, comically, but emerging hints of cherry, blackberry, and cedar bark. and some licorice. Scents of rubber and peat add a twist to things. A La Brea tar finish keeps it challenging. Overall impression; a winnah!

February 9, 2016 - Very nice syrah, drinking nicely now. PNP, improved over an hour or two but definitely ready to go in you need to pull a bottle in a hurry. A surprising combo of dark berries and floral notes on the nose, with plenty of restrained fruit on the palate. The 15.2% alcohol could mislead you, it does not come on strong at all.
