March 31, 2024 - renown winemaker Renzo Cotarella confirms his ability to craft a very good wine. Balanced, pleasant, round and probably at its peak now. Recommended after an appropriate cellaring. At LT in a rainy day at Easter time

January 12, 2023 - Awesome wine even at this age. The raspberry and dark chocolate sing through. Paired with beef medallions, mushrooms, Marsala, and pan drippings. Unbelievable!!

February 28, 2021 - Dark, tawny color. Decanted 1h30m. Dates and dried figs on the nose. Cherries and some raspberries on the palate, mellow, well-integrated tannins that show still some grip. Some tertiary notes of dark cocoa on the ending. Excellent Merlot from Lazio!

January 5, 2020 - Leaning slightly to a more lush new world profile, but still lots of regional character. Terrific!!!

January 27, 2018 - This is not my style of wine, but I have to admit it's pretty damn delicious. I would imagine it's probably in its prime for my palate. There is still a lot of fruit, but some of that baby fat has shed and the core underneath holds up well. I don't find the oak obtrusive at all at this point. It would be fun to pour this blind in some different scenarios. I think it more than holds up for its price point.
