December 25, 2010 - Very well structured wine. Ruby red, black fruit, cigar box, sweet spice on the nose. Balanced, velvety, medium body with soft tannins. Perfect companion for a dinner. We had this bottle with baked quails and it worked perfectly.

October 22, 2008 - I hoped that Michel Rolland started consulting at this Chateau this vintage (2004; I could not find info about that), but based on the tasting, I guess he didn't (but from 2005, check that vintage's reviews on this wine!). Unfortunately. Old school, a little unripe, thin wine, though it has some complexity and balance. It's quite good, but doesn't worth the price I paid for it (19 EUR).

February 11, 2008 - Deep red robe with red rim giving way to dark, nearly opaque center
Ripe plummy berry like fruit with earth tones and a touch of cedar and vanilla
Still a trace of youthful primary aromas but bouquet is starting to emerge.
Ripe fleshy berry and plum flavours into rich creamy tannin finish.
Acid balance is fine with a fresh lift that focusses the flavours.
Touch of bitterness in finish from Malbec and tannin.
Still needs 1 - 2 yrs to shed some puppy fur but very good value and potential for the short term.
Oh lalande-de-pomerol land of perfumed and fleshy, flavourful merlot.
Great with grilled meats, acidity cuts through the savoury fat and sings to the end.
    Color 5 of 5
    Boooo-K 20 of 25
    Palate 52 of 60
    Overall 8 of 10
For a total of 85 pts.
I wager it will push 90 when mature.
Very good value @ $20 CDN.
