April 20, 2016 - This one is going fast. If you have it, drink it soon.

July 23, 2015 - Hints of earth, smoke and tobacco with a predominance of dark cherry/raspberry on the nose. The age shows on the palate, with near perfect balance of dark fruit, acid and soft tannins. Nice long finish.

January 2, 2011 - Started off a bit thin and tired and then...wow! Where did all that (ok, weird) cherry come from? Less than an hour from opening, with no decant, we went from tolerable to fat, sassy, and desirable. Go figure. Not Block Six but happy to have a couple left.

March 25, 2010 - Packed with bright plum, black cherry and dark berried fruit flavours with subtle oak and floral elements in the background, but there's a slightly offputting acetone note in the aromatics and it feels overly heavy and clunky in the mouth, lacking freshness and acidity.

December 19, 2009 - Day 1. Very weird. It had a lighter fluid aroma and strange taste. corked and refrigerated.

Day 2. Smelled pruney, like port. Tasted of prunes and alcohol. off bottle from past experience. Side note - I have not had good luck with Beckmen's 03s in general, mainly due to TCA issues. Most recently, last week I opened a 2003 Estate Cab and it was corked.
