December 31, 2016 - New Zealand vs The rest of the world; 12/31/2016-1/1/2017 (My house): Dark red, oaky nose, touch of vanilla , minimal fruit. Dense fruit on the palate is unfortunately dominated by spicy oak, lack elegance or length. Needs rich food, but even still, I struggle to find enough complexity beyond the bold flavours.

    March 22, 2016 - @ Grand Hyatt KL. Restaurant 38

Deep, dark, brooding full bodied garnet bomb
    Dark cherries and black fruit
Some all spice, tannic, medium plus finish
    Acidity is there

    Very good

Had with a heavy cod dish. Sublime.

October 23, 2015 - Medium intensity bright ruby, no apparent defects. Aromas of red fruits, mushrooms, forest floor, oaky vanilla, some floral. Medium bodied, great acidity matching the moderate alcohol (13.5%), its palate confirms the initial aromas with (candied) red fruits, toasty oak, bramble. Very lively, fresh. While this developed well, it clearly has some life ahead. Went exceptionally well with slowly cooked beef ribs and bok choy risotto. Excellent! 91 pts.

September 6, 2014 - Bright but dense red colour. A strong mint/green fruit character on the nose indicative of Cabernet. Full of fruit upfront that develops into a mint/green finish. Not a complex wine nor does it have the big fruitcake mouthfeel but still fruit driven and with time on its side to age gracefully.

May 17, 2014 - Ruby colored with medium legs and no sediment. Aromas of black fruits, dark cherry and plum. Palate of blackberry, plum, black pepper and touch of vanilla. The body is medium and smooth, but not a long finish.
