  May 6, 2023 - See my 1/10/23 note also. Bottle #11 was similar to bottle #10 in all respects, except did not have the acetone defect this time. Looks like a wine that was good while young, but not long lived.

  January 10, 2023 - Although I didn't write about this wine when I first tasted it (I'm guessing around 2014), both my fellow drinkers and I loved the wine at that time. It was fruity, not sweet, dense. I would have given it 90. However, upon tasting tonight the 10th of my original case, I am extremely disappointed. The cork was perfectly intact, the fill was well in to the neck, the color was still dark purple, but the wine was oxidized, with what I would call an acetone off flavor. I still have two more bottles and will let you know if this one was an aberration. Bottom line, this bottle was, sorry to say, barely drinkable.

  July 5, 2021 - Deep garnet, the bouquet reveals blackcurrant, bilberry, raisin, tilled earth, graphite and savoury notes.
  Full-throated, the entry is meaty with chewy stringy tannins of the Mourvedre. Fruit surfaces with prune, blackcurrant, even some damson and conceivably dried black cherries.
  With good concentration with some depth to the mid-palate, the wine shows more baked earth qualities, an "aridness" yet with brown sugar crystals veering to molasses of the Garnacha. Fairly long finish; this is a good drop of wine.

  Swimming pool, paprika, black fruit.
  Licorice, coffee grounds.

  May 19, 2021 - From magnum which I am told is important as the single bottles are now going over. This was still pretty fresh, well integrated and still strong fruit. It did get a little sullen three hours after decanting. Excellent quality for this price point.
