Community Tasting Notes 6

July 5, 2017 - Opened one hour in advance. Complex, earthy cloves aroma. Sappy flavors of red berry fruit with loam. Licorice finish with leafy notes.

As implied by the above, this is a complex, quirky, full bodied pinot noir. As I write this, the drinking window on display ends in 2015, and that is nonsense. This may, or may not, be going anywhere further, but it is going strong right now.

May 30, 2016 - Utterly delicious with spicy kalbi.

June 19, 2015 - Delicious, very pure dark Pinot that is crisp and light in body, but packed with energy, aroma, and flavor. The antithesis of new world wine, this is spare, and very graceful. There is some minerality but it is not terribly complex right now. I don't have the experience with wines from this place to be able to predict if this will develop with time in the cellar. But it doesn't matter, because drinking it now is a very lovely experience.

May 15, 2015 - Nice mellow fruit on the nose. Soft entry, but quite lean. Some weird powdered nerds candy and powdered paper notes. Strange. A little odd on the gritty, tannic finish.
