October 25, 2020 - What a difference... The fruit and sap seemed to have integrated away or disappeared. Soil and dry leather now predominate with a somewhat austere texture. Wish the wine still had some fleeting fruit.

July 16, 2019 - Continue to be taken aback by the flesh on this wine. It reminds me distinctly of a Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot, rich and ripe, dark red fruit, and tomato leaf. Well put together but not what I'm looking for from Germany.

January 5, 2019 - My last btl and most impressive of the 4 I’ve had...smooth and silky!

December 24, 2017 - Initially a little dry on the finish...came around with some air...

October 15, 2016 - Precise and well-balanced, this resembled a Gevrey-Chambertin quite a bit, with its roasted character and authoritative taste. Just a faint echo of the brown notes of German pinot noir. Very good.
