April 7, 2024 - Retail $45. Heavy bottle (665g; 1lb 7.5oz). Under cork. My notes from the last bottle, about two years ago, hold true with a couple of notable exceptions: the wine is a bit darker, well into yellow (and on the road to golden). The oak aspect is also much more pronounced than I had perceived with the previous two bottles. While I was not turned off, even finding it appealing, my wife (pretty close to a card-carrying member of ABC), found it cumbersome. Oh well, my blog. Excellent. 92 Points.

August 22, 2022 - Retail $45. Big ass bottle. Under cork. I bought three bottles of this wine in the summer of 2014 and popped the first one about two years ago, and it was fantastic. Well, this bottle might be even better. A full decade after vintage, it seems this wine might be improving: pineapple and lemon on the nose of this yellow/straw beauty. There is a nice dose of vanilla and a waft of oak, but both seem to be perfectly in place and in no way suggestive of a heavy-handed use of wood. The palate surpasses what I anticipated from the nose with a lovely balanced wine with great weight and a lengthy finish. Outstanding.

February 10, 2020 - I visited the tasting room several years ago, where I tasted through a few wines with Ken himself. He was an extremely gracious and modest guy, but the history of the region could not be written without a chapter or two devoted to him. Of all the wines, I was particularly impressed with this Chardonnay, so I bought a few. This is the first that we have opened. Still quite light in the glass with barely a tint of straw and the nose is subtle: hint of lemon, a bit of minerality, and even some pear. The palate is demure but confident with shy fruit, balanced acidity, and a beyond average finish. Nice. thedrunkencyclist.com

August 6, 2016 - I'm a Ken brown fan, but I think this Chardonnay lacks depth. It nice and crisp, but short on finish.
