    January 1, 2012 - Not nearly as impressive as the 2003. I think this was a little past its prime. Let it breathe for 2 hours before dinner and tested it about every 1/2 hour along the way. Very earthy nose, but the feel on the palette was a bit flat. Finish was somewhat short as well. I don't think it was corked, just probably should have been drunk several years ago.

    January 28, 2006 - Deep, spicy Pinot fruit with more than a trace of charry oak. Weighty, with body and depth but showing its alcohol a bit transparently. Oregon fruit clearly evident but muted by the winemaking style; still, an enjoyable enough drink.
