March 21, 2015 - Fantastic nose. Notes of dark fruit in the form of plum and some red fruits with a touch of earth. Plenty of supple tannins and a lingering finish on the palate. Not much in the way of acidity, but this is a Spring Mountain Merlot, so I wasn't expecting piercing acidity. Beautiful oak throughout. Fruit faded a bit on day two, but overall an excellent wine. Not sure there is much upside to holding longer. 90-92 pts. PJP 2015.
