  July 17, 2014 - Medium clear gold in the glass with a slightly green tinge.
  
  The nose is paradoxical right from the beginning. Lemon pith, chamomile, orange zest and blossom add a certain freshness while notes of popcorn, oats, caramel, honey and pine nuts add depth and power. The nose is slightly oxidative but not offensively so.
  
  The palate is bright with elegant acidity. This wine is dry and has a surprising amount of body. It is all together reminiscent of good dry Chenin Blanc with a slightly woolly quality and hints of mushroom and earth. Theres a touch of tannin on the back end that makes this a great white alternative for red wine drinkers.
  
  Really spectacular value with some years ahead of it still provided you're willing to cellar it properly and you're a fan of funky whites.

  April 4, 2014 - Unusual White Rioja that is made from 100% Viura. Yellow with green hue in colour leads to a nose of green apples and bananas. Quite dry on the arresting palate with cool and edge. Not too much of the sherry notes common in other White Rioja's. Lovely, full of life. What a wonderful mouth feel and finish that is all about something different.
