November 4, 2019 - Oh yeah, now this has got game. The gorgeous aroma has come out of hiding and the palate has a very nice balance of tannins, acidity, and fruit. Medium length finish that I wish would stretch out a little longer because the flavors are so wonderful. Medium ruby color, clear throughout with no sediment. This should be able to cruise along for several more years. 4+13+17+8= 92

July 22, 2018 - The first glass on opening night was wound up and a bit awkward. Left with that headspace of air overnight, and it really stretched out to reveal the full bouquet. Dark ruby color, a touch of mature red rust starting to show. About 80% opaque with slow, clear legs and no sediment. Bright red fruit: cherry/strawberry, pipe tobacco, black pepper, a little tropical mango and bubblegum. Palate seems very close to fully integrated, though the tannins are still slightly in the forefront. Very good to be in this $25-$30 range. 5+11+16+8= 90
