    March 6, 2022 - Pop n pour.

Fruit is beginning to step back so I'd say it's probably peaked unless you enjoy "old wine" characteristics. Mild fig and dark plum flavors. Rounded tannins, mostly integrated. Light palate. Pleasant but not inspiring.

October 18, 2019 - My last of three btls. PnP, test sips showed it open for business so I slow oxed for another hour prior to dinner. Color is semi translucent ruby red with some bricking. Aromas of earth along with berries, spice and underbrush. The palate offers a range of; tart cherry, raspberry, spice, mineral along with more earth and underbrush. The feel is elegant and decently lifted. Slight interference from the 14.5% alc reduced the lift and rears its head a bit if you don't drink this at a cool sub 60 temp. Still, in the panoply of so many so so PN choices from CA this is still one of the best PNs outside of Oregon and even Burgundy itself. Less Alc and this likely scores a point or two higher for me.

August 25, 2019 - Lovely Pinot here from Mount Eden. It pours totally transparent, with rose and orange toward the rim. The nose quickly opens to reveal soaring citrus and red fruit: fresh orange peel, blood orange, grapefruit, cranberry, pomegranate. Besides that there are kisses of mixed herbs, and minerals. Not as much spice and smoke as I recall. The Palate has high acid, medium minus tannin, and the finish replays the red and citrus fruit of the nose. This does hide it's 14.5% alcohol well.
