December 22, 2020 - As pure as Almond juice and lime dripped over arctic ice, with the slightest whiff of petrol. This is magnificent, a ballerina of a wine, for no money at all.

September 2, 2020 - Unscrewed and poured. Tart aroma of lemon with a little petrol. Surprisingly rich on the palate, with flavors of sweet white fruit. Lemon zest, and some tingle in the back palate, in the finish. Clean, crisp, firm backbone, excellent staying power. Excellent basic riesling, good QPR.

November 21, 2016 - A lovely bottle. Fresh, pure, lively and full of flavour. Heady reisling nose, tropical fruits and lemony acidity that lasted a long time. Well well balanced, generous and refreshing.

January 5, 2016 - Not enough going on here to warrant a higher score, but I will say it improved greatly when we drank it while eating some sautéed pepperoni. Maybe this is more of a food wine than a sipping wine? Did notice a little bit of petrol on the nose.

October 15, 2015 - I've tried about 6 bottlings of various vineyards and vintages from Donnhoff. I'm no expert, but it is a house that I've consistently enjoyed. That said, I did not really care for this release. The first night it showed those lovely pineapple cream elements that I attribute to the Felsenberg vineyard that was used heavily in this release. The second night it just lost its vibrancy and tasted a wee stale. (I usually drink bottles over 3-4 days.) Oh well, just gotta keep buying their QBAs for my spoiled palate...
