November 12, 2022 - Double decanted for sediment and quick aeration, put back in bottle and taken to steakhouse with Mennis. Very lovely. Tons of forest floor with some tobacco on the nose. Rich with deep dark fruit. And a nice 30 second finish. I think this is easily good for a few more years.

March 27, 2021 - Purple, with the slightest reddening at the rim. Moderate sediment - decanted and aerated for 30 minutes, and it's good to go. Nose with tar and leather. Palate with good integration between "wild" syrah and "demure" merlot. The good amount of acid and flavor profile paired well with a rich and spicy pork dish. Tannins pretty much resolved, finish is pretty mellow.

March 21, 2021 - Another great bottle of V1...I love these blends when they have time to integrate. Great balance with enough acidity to keep things lifted and fresh.

January 10, 2021 - Has everything you can expect for Arietta V1. I'm finding the 2012s to be drinking very nicely at the moment. In a word, delicious!
