Community Tasting Notes 12

July 5, 2022 - We let this one sit too long. Past it’s prime. Brown-ish, brick. Lots of prunes. Barely drinkable, but the beef steaks allowed consumption. If you have any of this, drink it now. It will be in-drinkable in months. Some may not drink it now. What a shame. Earlier bottles were fantastic!

  • Zitan Does not like this wine:

February 24, 2021 - I tried to convince myself this wasn’t dead. I even drank a glass and a half hoping the funk would blow off. But it didn’t - it was bad. Poured it down the drain and had a perfectly nice glass of 2016 QPR Chianti. That’s how it goes sometimes.

    April 11, 2018 - Blind tasting on April 11, 2018 (Tornano, Moscow): 89/100

Bottle in a weaker state. Murky, pale brown. All the prune you want, but nothing much else.

    Remnants of freshness long gone.

Blind set at Tornano / 11 April 2018

January 2, 2015 - Faded to the point of offering nothing -- virtually dead, which surprises me given the ageability of these. Maybe just this bottle, but it was not corked and didn't strike me as cooked either. Let me know please if you find otherwise with your bottles of this.
