March 25, 2021 - Rumors of the 2001’s demise are greatly exaggerated.

June 15, 2019 - (Bought on release and stored in climate controlled cellar)
Beautiful black cherry color, dense and lustrous. No bricking but you can tell it is right on the verge.
Plum, leather , eucalyptus, baked tart on the nose - beautifully perfumed.
Sweet fruit, black licorice and a little sweet prune on the long finish. Nice balance of acidity and new world fruit.
My guess is it is at its apex. Don't wait for the bricking drink now.
Really great pairing with a grilled steak - better with the steak than on its own.

November 17, 2018 - Popped and let sit for 30 minutes...dark red, cherry pie and blue fruit, though the finish faded quickly...still enjoyable for a 17 year old.

October 24, 2015 - Definitely past its peak, but still very enjoyable after decanting. A nice change from younger, fruitier Cali cabs. Color was slightly bricked. Nose was a bit subdued at first, but become much became more complex with berries, plum and a grassy/hay thing going on. A bit flat up front, but dried fruits were more evident on the finish. Will have to dive into the 06's next. Did not score due to age, but she was definitely a 90+ in her day.
