September 16, 2023 - Dark, youthful magenta. Deep blue fruit, soft enveloping tannins, spices galore, dried herbs, leather, and a glorious long finish. Firing on all cylinders.

December 25, 2022 - Cork was damp. Thankfully I opened this before it oxidized! Absolutely delicious and complimented our Christmas dinner of honey ham, potatoes au gratin, broccoli casserole and pear, pecan and blue cheese salad. 64 Merlot, 34 Cabernet Franc, 2 Cabernet Sauvignon. Luscious dark berries balanced with minerality. Big wine with noticeable but smooth tannins and mid to long finish. Not typically a big merlot fan but this wine and this vineyard is a favorite.

November 30, 2021 - Beautifully ripe blueberry and blackberry. Lots of grippy tannins and bright acidity with a “not as overwhelming” inkiness. Structure is well defined and should allow this wine to age for another several years. This is usually a great restaurant buy.

October 17, 2021 - Decanted for 15 minutes, but 30 - even 45, would have been better. Some sediment. A Right Bank blend of 64% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The color was a dark ruby with a faded rim. The nose was heavy with dark red fruits and earth. The medium to plus bodied palate showed mostly bright red and dark red fruits, some earth, and a touch of spice. The acidity was balancing and there was just a touch of tannin on the finish. Should continue to hold. -
