Community Tasting Notes 2

December 9, 2015 - How far will sheer deliciousness get you? Pretty far in my case. Decanted 1 hr. ahead and sampled over the next hour. Medium garnet with rusty touches. Nice nose of earth, rosemary, cherries, bramble (sometimes known as white pepper). Medium-light bodied on the palate, very ingratiating, as cherry flavors lead over hints of tobacco. Acid balance is toward deliciousness, as the wine is not tart but certainly not soft; well-balanced for its weight. Finishes quickly. This wine has a high component of sheer drinkability; what more do you want in a CA Barbera? At this moment I can't remember.

July 6, 2015 - Wines At Our Table; July 12th, 20145; 7/6/2015-7/12/2015: Dark ruby color with appealing cherry, red currant, damp earth, vanilla and a bit of dried herb aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, intense with very lively acidity and a smooth texture with ample cherry, red currant, cola and baking spice flavors. Has in interesting hint of salinity. Delicious! 14.3% alcohol
