May 28, 2011 - Six years on and still fresh, citrus, beautifully balanced and long finish. Outstanding drink.

April 23, 2009 - I went to Booths and noticed a number of New World wines where there were two vintages at the same price - supermarkets tend not to appreciate this sort of thing when pricing, and for those of us who care, it's a good opportunity to compare. I went for the odd bottles of older vintages. This is quite a luminous lemon colour, classic riesling nose, honeyed, crystalline, some citrus. Something over-ripe and tropical about it, too. It has high acidity to begin with, but isn't exactly dry - there's a creamy-tangy midpalate that cuts the acidity off before it overpowers. It's interesting, but not wholly integrated. There's a note I can't place, and which teeters between decadence and decay. Still, it's not too bad, given it's probably sat on a bright shelf for nearly four years. (83 for the taste, 87 for the nose) Afterthought: worked well with a SE-Asian spiced soup; that note I couldn't place was truffle - it finally hit me. Not good. [Screwcap; 12% abv; Booths, £7.99]

March 23, 2009 - The 2005 Bin 7 had a light straw colour. On the nose, it offered floral, citrus fruits, minerals and green apples notes. On the palate, there was citrus fruits, green apples and a hint of spiciness to it. The wine was very well balanced and offered mouth watering acidity. The finish was dry and long with a hint of dried pineapple.

The wine was not rated as I do not think that I have tasted enough white wine to offer an objective score. However, with my limited experience with white wine, it was probably the best white tasted so far.

April 20, 2008 - Crisp and lean with strong mineral dominating the palate and a fair amount of spritz. Second day showed more citrus notes, primarily lime.

March 31, 2008 - A developing wine, clear, pale in color with greenish hues. Clean on the nose with medium intensity aromas of citrus, greenfruit and stonefruit - lime, apple, peach - with floral and mineral hints. On the palate, dry with medium + acidity and no tannins. Medium body with low alcohol and flavors of apple, lime and peach with some mineral on a medium finish. This wine is ready to drink now, but will get better with age. Paired with Roast Loin of Pork w/ green peppercorn sauce.
