February 18, 2023 - I think this one is peaking with age. 9-years in and the aromas pack a punch, while the body still shows a freshness that has already faded in many California Pinots of a similar age. Sadly, this label is no more; some serious talent behind this one.

July 21, 2021 - Very new world good quality Sonoma Pinot Noir here. Was afraid this was past it’s time but was very surprised how well it drank !!

Sight: Light ruby to garnet showing it’s age and clear sedimentation in the bottle needed a decant.

Nose: lovely spice, ripe cherries and raspberries bolder red fruits in the nose and big coffee note still from heavy oak toast. I also found some herbs and earthiness as well it’s a fairly complex nose for being so Cali and bold.

Taste: Pure but jammy red fruit the wine has a lot of finesse with silky super low tannins Medium down the board except acid is quite low making the wine a little fat but it’s not flabby it holds it’s weight but the alcohol does show slightly. A lot of spice and almost too much oak on the nose that luckily didn’t show on the palate as much.

Overall: The tertiary aspects of this wine are showing itself now definitely should be drank it’s not getting any more complex. Noticeably the alcohol never showed itself this much def is slightly off balance more now because of that. I also notice that oak didn’t fade at all wish it was toned down a bit cause that lush fat wine is quite yummy. Overall very good I think I enjoyed this wines youth better but the pure ripeness of the fruit and the finesse of this wine is the definition of Sonoma Pinot noir very good. Clearly if you want acid and Balance go elsewhere this is not the wine for you this is mainstream fat yummy Pinot from Cali but with high-quality fruit and oak.

July 21, 2021 - This wine was very characteristic of Sonoma Pinot and despite its age tasted very good.

Sight: Pale ruby with a pale garnet rim. Showed clear signs of age.

Nose: Ripe red fruit with strong amounts of coffee and rosemary.

Palate: It very easy on the palate with a low amount of tannin that’s become synonymous with Sonoma Pinot. Very ripe red fruit with hints of herbs. Silky body with almost no grip.

Overall: I came into this tasting expecting the bottle to be a bit past its prime but it ended up drinking incredibly well. The bottle was exemplary of where it came from with super ripe fruits and a good amount of oaking bringing out a pleasant coffee note. This wine is easy to drink on any occasion.

January 16, 2021 - Wow is this beautiful. A terrific example of a Sonoma Coast wine. Feels like it is peaking now. I remember when I bought this in Sebastopol in May 2015 that I wasn't sure about it, but now I wish I had bought more. Great stuff.

April 20, 2020 - Agree with the previous comment from 2018. Wondering why I purchased this several years back, not consistent with the style of SC PN that I like. This was big and bold, not a ton of acid. Definitely a bruiser.
