January 25, 2017 - Just wonderful! Dark, tawny ruby color, sous bois, earth, richness, slight funkiness, which I enjoy.

December 3, 2014 - Okay, I love Bandol so my score may be high for others.

Popped and poured, dark garnet with bricking, clear. On the nose there was sous bois, mushroom, fresh earth, some funk, dark cherry, slightest hint of charcoal and pine. The palate was medium to full bodied, great mid-palate presence, very lush texture. Still a core of sweet ripe red fruits, tangy acidity, excellent concentration. The finish was long with fine grained tannins, at first mostly resolved and then becoming pronounced toward the end of the bottle. Great stuff! If I had another bottle I'd leave it a few more years, but it was awesome tonight.

December 2, 2012 - Medium/deep ruby/garnet core, narrow pale garnet rim. Intense nose shows ripe bilberry fruit, smoke, meat and leather notes. This is full bodied on the palate with deep black fruit flavours, a smoky, meaty edge, lots of tannin but they are very fine and well covered by layers of fruit. It is all capped off by lovely balancing fresh acidity and a every good length, grippy, finish. A beast of a wine, it a well balanced one, and one that should benefit from the additional complexity another 5 or so years will give it. Very good/excellent.

March 11, 2012 - Wonderful. Some bricking. Smoky, burnt meat on nose. Lovely refreshing in the mouth. Good structure and length, perhaps a little dry on the finish - but still lively & youthful. Everything you want from mature Mourvedre. Outstanding.
