  February 13, 2024 - Our last bottle of this vintage. Slo-oxed for 15 minutes. The color was a medium plus violet. Lots of dark fruits on the nose. These follow onto the medium bodied palate, along with earth, spice and a touch of pepper--all in a juicy acidity. All tannins and oak are fully integrated. Thank you, Fred.

  November 23, 2023 - Thanksgiving Dinner with the B Family (Their House): We enjoyed this wine so much over the last couple of months that we brought a bottle with us to Thanksgiving dinner. This bottle was just as enjoyable as the previous two bottles and the other attendees mirrored our tasting profile, which I repeat here:
  Slo-oxed for 15 minutes. This bottle showed lots of red and black cherries, dark berries and pepper on the medium bodied palate, along with touches of earth and spice. The acidity was juicy, and all tannins and oak are fully integrated. This wine could hold for another couple of years but is quite enjoyable now.

  November 11, 2023 - Another bottle of this very satisfying Zin. Lots of dark fruits, berries, spice and some pepper and earth, wrapped in juicy but balancing acidity. A really fine effort by Fred that should continue to hold.

  September 11, 2023 - Slo-oxed for 15 minutes to let some "funk" blow off. This bottle showed very similar to my previous bottle in July '22. Lots of red and black cherries, dark berries and pepper on the medium bodied palate, along with touches of earth and spice. The acidity was juicy and all tannins and oak are fully integrated. This wine could hold for another couple of years, but is quite enjoyable now. Thank you Fred.

  July 16, 2022 - Based on my previous TN, I decanted this bottle for 30 minutes (with no sediment) which definitely helped to open up the wine. The color was a deep purple. There was a good dose of red, and some black fruits on the nose. The medium bodied palate showed a great mix of red fruits, black fruits and spice, with some earthy notes and pepper. Any tannins were well integrated and the acidity was nicely balanced. The wine has aged well and should continue to please for some years to come.
