October 9, 2023 - Medium-dark ruby red with orange tint, brick-pink rim. Dried strawberry, candied cherry, plum, prune, fig, tobacco, smoke, tea leaves, saddle, pencil shavings, white truffle and cedar. Medium to medium-high acidity, medium to medium-high tanning. I opened for 3 hours before tasting, and at 5 hours, the wine still opening up. Incredible depth and complexity. Very long finish.

Given the concentration of fruits, the relatively high acidity and tannin in the wine, I believe this bottle would develop further for another 20-30 years easily.

April 4, 2021 - Erste Flasche der Kiste. Ziegelfarben, dichter Kern, breiter Wasserrand. Minze, Melisse, Veilchen, Unterholz, Trüffel in der Nase. Grossartig! Die Nase ist ein Hammer!
Am Gaumen Himbeeren, Weichsel, rauchig. Wirklich geil! Das wird wirklich ganz, ganz gross - ich bin froh noch viele Flaschen im Keller zu haben.

January 19, 2017 - This Nebbiolo opens up right from the start. Not complex but well balanced.
Soft subtle with a nice finish

October 3, 2014 - Friday Night Double Blind Tasting $40+ (Bin 75): Dull crimson, see through, onion skin rim; Brett is strong, leather, dried roses, dried red fruit, seems grippy from the nose, sweaty and gamey; too much Brett on the palate; could not drink but I did nail it.

March 30, 2014 - - Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of black currant, tobacco, smokey, prune and raisin. It's balanced and has flavours of black pepper, blackberry and raisin with a medium/full body. Leathery texture with a long finish - Decanted 5 hours. Make sure to decant the wine, as long as you can. Good gripping tannins.
