October 10, 2020 - Very little info on this one in 2020. It looks like Trust only had access to this vineyard for this vintage.
This is the first time I've knowingly tried Rocks AVA region wine. I may be biased because I'm excited by the region's uniqueness (a little bit like Coonawarra but totally different soil type).
A big wine after four hours of opening. Muted but pleasant nose of wood shavings and potpourri. Generous mouth of plums, sweaty saddle, new car upholstery and purple magic markers. Long finish of tree resin, dried apricots and salted plums.
Unfortunately, this fell off a bit the next couple of hours and never really got tertiary flavors going. Absolutely no sediment (for an 8 year old wine?) so perhaps overfined. Perhaps good for another few years but can't see how it would improve.
