February 2, 2019 - Black current, herbs, medium body, soft texture, smooth integrated tannins, long juicy finish. Oak is present, but well integrated. No heat whatsoever. Seems like a great time to drink this one.

November 30, 2018 - shared with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate the end of the work week. purchased this at a wine dinner hosted by stage left with george hendry present. i had some concerns about longevity. the wine proved to be sound. the wine has aged well. excellent grape and regional typicity on the nose and the palate. made in a style that shows off the grape without being overpowered by other elements. charming, smooth, subtle. the wine is alive but should be enjoyed now.

May 24, 2018 - Not as good as the last bottle. Felt a bit barnyard, didn't seem very well made.

March 29, 2018 - Opened with a Coravin and let sit for 30 minutes.
Hints of herbs, red fruit, and old must.

This wine is soft and gentle throughout, red fruit and earthy notes to it. Enters the palette softly, and exits slightly more aggressively with medium plus acidity. This wine is well aged, and as such the tannins are well integrated by now and not overly noticeable.

This wine comes across slightly off at the finish and on the nose perhaps. Not my favourite Napa cab. The colder carneros climate could explain the cooler acidic finish, vs a more full bodied and warm typical Napa cab.

September 4, 2017 - Firm, very traditional in style. Nice concentration. The fruit profile is savory and slightly sour. 91+
