August 6, 2016 - There's still a lot of mushroomy dark fruit here, but there's noticeable vanilla and it's grainy and bitter with unresolved tannin. Too much oak? Not helped by being drank outside on a hot day with the wrong food, it's helped by being at proper temp inside on day two. But it's still not very good.

June 25, 2006 - quite attractive nose of candied fruit, stable and toast.
lot's of fruit in this one. the most balanced so far. noce balance in fruits (cherry of course, raspberry, ) sweetness at the end, acidity and tannins. the most tannic wine of the evening. and the groups WOTN(not mine) very very nice indeed.
    medium to long finish.

October 11, 1991 - Italian Wines (Walnut Creek, Ca.): Good fruit, nose with lots of overtones of stinky rubber, rich, tasty, oily taste in the mouth.
