October 23, 2012 - Dark ripe berry fruits, a touch of wild blackberry patch, slight kirsch element; really shows vintage with ripe fruit, fuller mouth, and ample rustic tannins. Quite impressive for an HCdN. Reminiscent of a light zinfandel! Amazing that this is still going strong. Next time I'm buying up more cheap HCdN in super hot vintages.88+

October 1, 2009 - Anita: Med. int. rasp frt nose; hints of cherry, kirsh, and berry bush branches; mth is me. +, fairly rich for this level, very present t’s (a bit coarse); still good structure, good age on this now--excellent!

July 7, 2008 - Anita: Very tight black cherry (and blck cherry color); very tightly wound, tart a’s, typical haut-cotes; med. bod, a bid rustic, although pretty smooth. Good wine w/basil-tomatoe-bacon pasta. Not a bunch of character, although well-made.

May 13, 2008 - Anita: Good dark color; med. notes of black cherry, black berry; mth needed to air out to soften a bit, grainy t’s, but fair w/food; hint bright, tight, acidic. Good bal, good entry level Pinot.

March 8, 2007 - Just doesn't cut the mustard entirely. Pairs decently with food, but just isn't all there. Seems lacking.
