February 20, 2013 - BYOB Tasting Menu Meritage (Meritage, St. Paul): Dark purple color. Didn't get a lot of notes on this but it was very good. A nice core of black fruit on the nose and palate, the alcohol is fairly well contained, plum, molasses, sweet.

December 27, 2011 - A beautiful wine - not showing it's age at all. It has another decade at least. Dark fruit nose, fresh, sweet palate with dark fruits and some marcipan and dark rhum. Medium finish. Much like a medium-class vintage from a good year. Drink or keep.

December 19, 2011 - (Grønbech & Churchill, Copenhagen) Wow. Just entered a lovely drinking window. Still young, but just soooo nice anyway (I like mature Port) Very compleks and detailed.

May 8, 2011 - w/Stilton (super match). Ripe and sweet with plenty of richness and decent balance. Very youthful.

(Warre's Traditional LBV Port) Great intensity of colour here. Deep, brooding fruit on the nose. Smoky and toasty aromas, with burnt sugar, caramel and molasses. Full, sweet, and with super depth on the palate, but with a cool, balanced style. Full of richness and plentiful extract, matched by very fine, ripe tannins and some good toasty fruit. Of the 94-95 duo this is the vintage I prefer. Lovely wine; drink now and over the next six years.
