  December 29, 2021 - Basically same as three years ago. This is still a bold wine with substantial fruit, mellow tannins and a long finish. Style is true California.

  April 25, 2021 - Deep black fruit up front and all over the finish. This has several years of life but it's in its window right now. Integrated tannins.

  February 2, 2021 - Immediate intoxicating nose of blackberry, plum, and other dark fruit with a hint of pepper. I could park my nose over the decanter and be happy for a long time. There was some sediment - a few crumbles on the bottom of the cork, and some crumbles & powder in the decanter. This is absolutely delicious and has been since release. It's getting less tannic but still has sufficient structure. What a bargain!

  December 21, 2020 - This seems to be losing some of it's balance, but still a very nice wine. It seemed to improve over the hour or so that we drank it.

  June 6, 2020 - Dark color, good nose, followed by berries, dusty tannins and a hint of oak. Paired well with grilled ribeye.
