December 5, 2021 - What goes best with Cuveé Moriah? Well, a fried turkey of course! And.... I mean a WHOLE fried turkey. As an appetizer. The couple who hosted us tonight have a way of entertaining and I was told to bring something that went well with Turkey. This GSM blend is 64% Grenache from Dry Stack in Bennett Valley, 24% Mourvedre and 12% Syrah from Sonoma vineyards. Slightly acidic character on the front. Raspberry cola, earthy black cherry pie, black tea, Finishes with a red cherry and eucalyptus oil. Still has quite a bit of life left and went beautifully with fried turkey and roasted pears with prosciutto with balsamic glaze....and that was the APPETIZER. Not worthy! This wine killed the first half of the night. Keep this one in your cellar for up to 7 more years or so. It will reward you!

November 6, 2018 - Still hot on entry throughout the finish. It really hurts the overall experience.

November 27, 2017 - Decanted about 90 minutes. Not much of a fan of Donelan wines. Ruby red. On opening a bit of pinot harshness and acidity that dissipated with time. Some cherry and blueberry fruit. Finish relatively short. Improved with air, better than some of their wines.
