October 5, 2016 - I can see why this grape was significant to Bordeaux wines before the 20th century. This wine fools me every time...I think I am drinking merlot!

Ok...the skinny. this wine is full-bodied, full-flavored & deeply colored that combines some of the best qualities from Cab Sauv & Merlot. Olive, spice, and black plum aromas come with some grit and savory accents.

This is well packed and voluminous; flavors of olive, plum, and wild berry finish sturdy and smooth, with minty accents.

If you are looking for a good introduction to the positives of Carmenère, try this."

September 25, 2016 - Excellent. Coffee on the nose with subtle background notes of anise and spices. Very earthy on the palate with dark fruits. Gritty mouthfeel. Very enjoyable.

September 10, 2016 - Ready to go with a 20 minute decant. Bright cherry fruit, spice, touch of mushroom. Terrific minerality, velvety tannins on the finish. Great pairing with slow cooked pork spare ribs. Drink now.

February 1, 2016 - Smooth and classy with dark fruit and none of the vegetal flavors sometimes found with Carmenere.
