Plenty of dried apricots, coffee and oak. Still very young and dense apricot flavors.

December 14, 2010 - Starting to turn brown. Still slick and treacly sweet, but the flavors are advanced and kind of on the dreary side without the peachy/apricot-like flavors that might have made this enticing a few years ago - seems to signify a loss of freshness without a corresponding uptick in complexity or intrigue. A shame, I had always kept Szepsy in the back of my head as a potential contender for greatest dessert wine nobody talks about, but not if they evolve like this.

February 27, 2010 - Quite dark color. Nose has quince, spices, dried apricot, honey, hay. Palate is powerful with plenty of acidity. Long finish. Holds well over several days in the open bottle.
