July 31, 2021 - Bernard Moreau's 2013 Chevalier-Montrachet is incredibly rich and concentrated with apple, pear, crushed stone, and lots of spice. Round and fleshy on the palate but kept lively by a ripe acidity that frame dense spiced apple flavors. Now in its drinking window, which should hold for a decade.

May 18, 2021 - Bernard Moreau Chevy is sublime as always, generous and refined at the same time. The high intensity and bright acidity can easily be mistaken as a 2014. Tasted blind - Full throttle lemon and zesty tree fruits, nice reduction and subtle smokey wood flavours. Some resemblance to PYCM style, perhaps more lactic on the palate. Full bodied with high acidity. 2014 Bienvenues Batard / Chevalier Montrachet? (92/100)

September 16, 2020 - On the nose a bit weak at first in a flight of more reductive styled whites. Very pure though. Also on the palate pure and expressive, nice fruit and wouldn't have had it down as 13, felt like a warmer year (maybe 15?). Very harmonious and in any other setting would have been tremendous but I thought it the weakest wine of the flight.

July 30, 2020 - Surprisingly accessible, and rounded, all layers showing a soft touch and ease of access. The fruit is framed well with soft touches of acidity, minerality and well integrated supporting structure. One of the more seductive white burgundies I’ve had in a while, and with some good depth and resonance. I wouldn’t have been surprised if someone told me this was a 2007. Good example of how it really pays to move to the grand crus in a cool vintage like 13.
