August 24, 2018 - A little tart on the tongue initially, but mellowed into nice smooth syrah after a couple hours decant. Still young.

October 3, 2017 - Really good bottle of Syrah.
Meat, earthy, prune, spice, fig. Coffee, chocolate, clove, vanilla, pepper. Woody, cedar, toast, olive. Ripe and lush with structure, not heavy nor super dense. Really nice.

September 1, 2017 - Such a beautiful wine. I'm a big fan of pretty much everything coming from Pax Mahle. Still has some life left in it, as the tannins were not quite integrated even on the second day, but this is in a really good place. Dark fruit, a good acid core, and starting to develop some nice secondary character. Drink now with 30-60 min decant or keep another 2-3 years and let more magic happen.

August 26, 2017 - Solid wine, still doing well. Meaty, iron notes. Medium bodied. Large amounts of tannic residual on the bottle.

April 11, 2017 - Seriously awesome. People should be drinking this now. Another huge Rimmerman win. Structured, nuanced, great nose and wonderful flavor.
