September 24, 2023 - Hotchpotch of beautiful wines (Restaurant 360 Grad, Limburg/Lahn): From double Magnum. Wonderful wine. Quite consistent with my previous notes, just the DMG is even younger. Dense, deep, great structure, tension and energy. Long finish. 94

July 13, 2023 - Initially a very complex though subtle citrus thread: cumquat, tangerine, pomelo framing a very mineral wine with a hint of petrol, though very much dialled down in intensity. Unctuous and somewhat oily textured.
Following a few hours open the intensity’s there: complex citrus, hint of honeycomb, every slight tropical pineapple nuances, mineralite more in the background with a very vibrant acidity.
But 24 hour slow ox later: wowsa! This is a halide-infused sea breeze of a saline, mineral wine framed by lime blossom, Kaffir and pomelo, more youthful and lively than on opening, quite remarkable!1 person found this helpful Comment -

May 6, 2023 - 10 years after Riesling tasting - 2013 (Restaurant Holz und Feuer, Kirchheim, Germany): Glass: Sophienwald Universal
Clear pale golden color. Typical Halenberg nose, smoky, deep and dense. On the palate very fresh, smoky, mineral, balanced, beautful depth and density, long, fruity & smoky finish. Not yet at its full peak. 93+1 person found this helpful Comment
