July 11, 2016 - Awesome Merlot. Smooth and elegant. Fruity jam taste. All about mouth feel. Liqorice that actually tastes good. I reco-mendment.

December 13, 2015 - Enjoyed a sample at a winery tasting, and subsequently a bottle at dinner that evening. This probably sets the standard for Napa Valley Merlot. Stunning. Truly a Merlot that drinks like a Cabernet Sauvignon; 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from estate vineyards on Atlas Peak. Big, bold and structured, but also soft, classy, balanced, complex, and approachable. A great mix of black and red fruits, with some herbs, chocolate, and earthiness in the mix. Probably the best Napa Merlot I have had to date, this is a testament to the potential of what Napa vintners can do with Merlot. This will cellar for at least another 10 years.

November 1, 2015 - Our standard of excellence for napa valley merlot - never disappoints - always serve when my mother in law is e since its her favorite wine with red meat. Excellent as always - bold yet subtle, forward fruit yet smooth - this is a consistent winner, vintage to vintage - our cellar is thin on amendment since its such a favorite.
