February 18, 2023 - Deep pink. Restrained nose at first but then opened to red berries and strawberry jam. Very clean, slight herbaceous backdrop to the berries. The juice has a beautiful clarity to it. Popped and poured. Bright acidity. I’d say it’s held up very well but this is not one to decant. Loses focus with a lot of air. But it’s an elegant, restrained, balanced pinot, probably the best I’ve tried from Anderson Valley. Old world soul to this one but new world brightness. A bit one-dimensional and losing steam or I'd have rated higher, but this is a very nice wine. Don’t remember what I paid or where I got it.

February 21, 2021 - I was afraid this would be unpleasant at this age, but it is quite nice. Strawberries are beginning to take on more lingonberriness as the sweetness of the fruit is receding, there is some black tea and beginning sous bois. Actually seems to have a long life left, but enjoyable now.

April 26, 2017 - Better than my previous bottle, but not by a lot. Slight spritz on opening. Simple and soft. Eventhough this is the entry level Copain pinot, I am disappointed.

August 25, 2016 - Red berries, cherries, menthol, and a hint of cola on the nose. Medium acidity, red berry notes in the palate. Short finish. Lacks complexity on the palate.

January 21, 2016 - Lots of fruit and toasted oak on the nose but manages to stay on the right side. On the palate the wine is very round and soft with a bit of sweetish fruitiness. Lacks a bit of acidity and structure.

Enjoyable on the nose but falls flat in the mouth. QPR is a bit so and so at 20€.
