July 27, 2019 - Q3 - 2019 Tasting - Vintage Champagne - Pre-2000 (New York, NY): 10/14 wines tasted double blind. This has a toasty nose. Very balanced on the palate with refreshing brightness and some grounding toasty, yeasty notes. Long finish - probably just outside my top 4. 6 pennies voted by the group.

July 27, 2019 - Q3 Wine Club | Pre-2000 Vintage Champagne (The Apt): Wine #10: So funnily enough I was convinced that this should be the same wine as 7. I think that was the smokiness in it. Here again there's that smoke and this time a bit stronger on the ash. A bit of caramelized sense and more oxidation. It's missing the freshness that 7 had that was compelling, but it's still quite an interesting wine. (6 pennies)
