January 16, 2021 - One foot in the New World, and one foot in the Old World. Old world, well, this is Italian, but in the part of Italy where they grow those Bordeaux grapes. The fruit is briary and full of earth and wood flavors. But the new world chimes in, the fruit seems nice and ripe, and on initial sniffs this wine smells OAKY! Ground coffee, toast, and something I like to call Smoked Oreo.....that is new world. All in all, it's wonderful. Why aren't more Cellar Trackers rating and writing about this wine???
