July 7, 2014 - A Visit to Five Rows Craft Wine (Five Rows Winery, Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario): Nose is deep and rich, prominently featuring plum, black cherry, cassis and herbs. Palate has good firm tannin and a medium finish. Very good example from this cool vintage. They've done a good job keeping the fruit fresh and tannin moderate. Some oak detected, but within acceptable limits. Good wine and others might like this even more than me. Having said that I think you can get a Cab of equivalent quality for half the price in Bordeaux. $50.
