Community Tasting Notes 1

March 19, 2015 - I really enjoyed this - great for a young Rioja. The nose was a nice melange of cherries and red berries, a bit of earth and herb and flowers, a little puff of cigarette smoke and just that small touch of sweet oak. The palate was already drinking nicely in spite of its youth, with fine tannins and bright acidity gracing fresh, juicy flavours of dark cherries and berries lined with nice little notes of mineral and earth trailing into a juicy finish with just a little grip. Really nice indeed, and it will certainly improve with time.
