November 23, 2023 - Dark reddish-purple in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe dark fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & cassis with some earthy/dusty notes, mocha, tar, leather, spices & herbs & oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-deep bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe dark fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with spices, herbs & a hint of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & airing but at 23 years of age, it is at or close to its peak of development. An indicative blend of Grenache, Carignan & Cabernet Sauvignon.

May 19, 2023 - Superb - slow ox 30+ minutes. Charred oak and light strawberry on the nose with some smoke. Energetic black raspberry fruit on the fleshy palate with plums and some kirsch liqueur. Chewy tannins on the dark berry flavors and a strong note of candied licorice. Rich, round and sweet on the dark berry finish. Interestingly, four blind tasters thought this was a 10-15 year old Cabernet!. Amazing QPR!!

June 11, 2022 - This bottle was drinking well. Typical priorat flavors, perhaps a little tight and acidic, but really enjoyable. Not sure where it goes from here.

September 26, 2020 - Still pleasant but probably a little past its peak.

December 30, 2017 - Meh. Some fruit, some tannin. Nothing noteworthy. I may have to give up on Priorat.
