Community Tasting Notes 1

  • StefanAkiko Does not like this wine: 65 points

May 25, 2014 - On-board SAS long-haul AND I HAD TO PAY A PREMIUM PRICE FOR THIS MINIATURE BTL!?!

Nose is towards Sb with nettles, green plants and pee, but not cat's pee. This is a rather stale elderly gentleman's variety.

In the mouth, this tastes like an Sb that has been sweetened with grape juice and then peed in. Acids are perfect for what this wine is and quite attractive. Slightly hollow with a less than attractive component shining through throughout the finish: stale pee :-(
Thanks to the acids, this is drinkable.
On the ground we can get a really great wine for the same cl price... SAS should be ashamed of themselves for serving this mega-plonk and charging an unsustainable price premium for it.
    Shame! Shame! Shame!
