November 26, 2019 - This is a fine example of warm climate Santa Barbara syrah. Rich with some dark chocolate and a bit thick with loads of black and blue fruit. There's a decent amount of acidity and well integrated tannins to balance the ripe fruit and the fairly high (14.8%) alcohol.

Typical Jaffurs profile but I feel it was weak and uninspiring.
I feel that Jaffurs has dumbed down their wines since I first started drinking them around 2009. Now with new owners and departure of the wine makers who knows what will happen. -
