September 20, 2015 - Scott's 1869 is always a treat and just terrific. Great cherry and some herbs, nice elegant mouthfeel. Will take better notes next time, just enjoyed it this time. Had with Chinese food and, after a few sips, held off on drinking the rest until after the meal. The food overpowered it a bit. This isn't a lightweight, but it does have nuances that will be lost with too much other tastes floating around in the mouth. Creamier or softer cheeses and chocolate would be a fine pairing here. 90-91 pts.
