September 8, 2022 - Deep purple hue, almost Syrah-like in its inkiness. Strong black fruit transitioning to tobacco and leather. Strong components of both tannin and acidity on the finish that didn't open up even after a few hours in the air. Stood up well to roast beef, though.
7/1/2023 Seems to have softened a bit more with some air time, otherwise pretty much the same. -

July 2, 2019 - Deep purple hue that opens with wild iris and ripe black fruit aromas. Black raspberry and grape jam dominate the front palate while clay pot and sweet tobacco linger on a long finish. Great balance of acidity, fruit and tannins. Paired magnificently with lamb kabobs on the grill.
