  November 26, 2022 - While not quite on par with the Carlisle Vineyard 2013 I had recently, this is still a fabulous Zinfandel. Almost more Syrah-like with dark blackberry and spice notes. Perfectly mature and I doubt it will improve further - but no signs of decline.

  December 22, 2021 - Merely Meh, this wine seemed tired, but not really over the hill. Just Lacking in any real fruit, with no discernable elements of bottle ageing and rather one-dimensional. This could have been anything. Tasted alongside the the awesome 2012 Pagani from Bedrock, this frankly disappointed. There didn't seem anything wrong with the wine but I can't rule out a bad bottle. I love Carlisle wines and this is the only bottle of less-than-exciting Carlisle I've tried, so I chalk this up as an anomaly. But if you still have some, definitely try it now.
