April 17, 2019 - Very Tuscany merlot. Good with pasta pizza etc. Some dark red fruit and spicy tones. Consistent and good quality. Missing dept and subtility. Expected more.

100% Merlot, aged in French 225l Barriques for 24 months, and 40% new.
High intensity and sophisticated nose with plums, cherries, violet, licorice, cedar, coffee, soil and some roasted notes.
Luxury feeling, velvety mouthfeel with nice acidity and fine tuned well integrated tannins. Gorgeous wine for those who like the style, quality higher than my rating. 94p -

April 7, 2017 - SLDS April 2017: Lifted aromatics of violets, black cherry, spice, redcurrant and plums. The palate has some flesh but also a steely undertone. Really like the style here, it is impressively deep while still being pretty. Unfortunate that the price is so high as I'd otherwise seek some out.
